{p 4 4 2}{cmd:qlabel} can replace multiple {help label define} and {help label values} statements.

{p 4 4 2}{cmd:qlabel} uses the standard Stata label definition after the {varlist}. These value labels will be applied to all the variables in {varlist}. If no name is specified, the label name will be the name of the first variable in {varlist},
with the added suffix {bf:_lab}.

{p 4 4 2}Pre-existing labels with the same name are over-written.

{p 4 8 2}{opt nu:mber} creates labels with the numeric values appended. 

{p 4 8 2}{cmdab:n:ame()} specifies the value label name. 

{p 4 8 2}{opt f:ilter} ignores any non-existent variables in {varlist}. Without {opt f:ilter}, a reference to a non-existent variable would cause an error.
