If it doesn't seem to make sense, see {help docs}.{p_end} {hline} {title:Description} {pstd}This documentation is compiled from the instructions that WVMI ({browse "http://www.wvmi.org"}) provides to their abstractors for the EPRP ACS data collection. {title:Datasets} {pstd}{cmd:41 42 43 44 51 52 53 54 61 62 63 64 71 72 73 74 81 82 83 84} {pstd}Instructions for the abstractors change roughly quarterly. The datasets are named for the instructions that define them: the first digit for fiscal year, and the second digit for fiscal quarter. In other words, data collected with the fy06 q2 instructions is in the dataset {cmd:62}. {pstd}Example: {cmd:. docs (41-53)} {title:Metadata} {pstd}{cmd:Module Question Response Definition Changes Skips} {phang}{ul:{cmd:Module}}: This is a reference back to WVMI's original documentation. It gives the "module" (ie, the instruction file) that includes the variable, and the index of the variable within that module. {phang}{ul:{cmd:Question}}: This is the basic abstraction instructions, the question the abstractor was answering by filling in the field. ({cmd:Question} is the name of this info in the original docs.) {phang}{ul:{cmd:Response}}: This is mainly information about how the abstraction software handles the data supplied: what the range of acceptable values are, what will cause other fields to be skipped, what is auto-filled or causes an auto-fill. ({cmd:Response} is the name of this info in the original docs.) {phang}{ul:{cmd:Definition}}: This is extended information for the abstractor, answering possible questions and emphasizing important points. ({cmd:Definition} is the name of this info in the original docs.) {phang}{ul:{cmd:Changes}}: This is a short summary of the most important difference, if any, between this variable and the same variable in the previous dataset. In addition, it's noted if this is the first or last dataset in which this variable appears. {phang}{ul:{cmd:Skips}}: This is a list of other fields & values that would cause this field to be skipped. The format is a series of variable names, each possibly followed by a series of values, with each name-value sequence displayed in either the text color or the error color. Consider the following example: {pmore}{hi:var-of-interest} {txt:able 1 2 3 m} {err:baker 1 99} {txt:laurel} {err:hardy} {pmore}The interpretation is that the variable of interest will be skipped if: able is equal to 1, 2, 3 or missing; baker is {it:not} equal to 1 or 99; laurel is true; or hardy is {it:not} true. {phang}Example: {cmd:. docs , mod quest d}
