{pstd}{cmd:cdl} changes the current directory.

{p 4 7 2}o- {help altpath:{it:alt-path}} explicitly specifies the directory to change to.

{p 4 7 2}o- {cmd:<}{it:#} specifies a directory from the {help recent} list; the {it:#} specifies how far back to go, with {cmd:<1} indicating the previous directory in the list, {cmd:<2} indicating the directory 2 back in the list, etc.

{p 4 7 2}o- If neither {help altpath:{it:alt-path}} nor {it:recent-ref} is specified, the directory is changed to that of the {bf:current file}, as named in the main window title (see {help usel}).
